How much does a Peach Pass Cost
Peach Pass offers its transponders free of charge. To utilize the system, most drivers opt for a Personal Toll Account. This account requires a minimum initial top-up of $20 using a debit or credit card. As you travel through Express Lanes, the account balance automatically deducts the corresponding toll charges. To ensure smooth operation, the system automatically replenishes the account with an additional $20 whenever the balance dips below $10.
How to install a Peach Pass transponder
To install the Peach Pass transponder, place it inside the center of your windshield, ¾ inch from the mirror and 2 inches from the top, at temperatures above 50°F (10°C). Keep it 2 inches away from any other tag, or bumper mount it if you have a metallized windshield.
How do I add money to my Peach Pass
Most motorists use a personal toll account with a prepaid balance via debit or credit card. Tolls are deducted automatically. The account typically replenishes with $20 when below $10 or with $5 based on usage. Users can adjust these levels. Maintaining a sufficient balance is the account holder's responsibility; insufficient funds result in a toll violation.
What is considered a violation at Georgia Express Lanes?
- Using a Georgia Express Lane with an unregistered vehicle. All vehicles, even toll exempt vehicles, must be registered for a Peach Pass account with transponders placed on the windshields (motorcycle transponders can be placed on lights) before using the lanes.
- Using a Georgia Express Lane when there are insufficient funds in your account.
- Using a deactivated Peach Pass.
What are the violation fee at Georgia Express lanes?
There is a $25 administrative fee per violation occurrence, plus the toll that was not paid. If the toll and administrative fee is not paid, and the matter is brought before the Office of State Administrative Hearings, then the registered owner may be subject to a civil penalty of an additional $70 per violation.
Can you transfer a Peach Pass
A Peach Pass cannot be transferred from one vehicle to another. It can be used only with the vehicle registered with the Peach Pass account.
