Toll Roads in Laos

As of Now, Roads and Highways Department (RHD) of Bangladesh collects tolls on four roads: Dhaka-Bhanga expressway, Hatikumrul-Bonpara highway, Chittagong port access road, and Jagdishpur-Sherpur stretch of Dhaka-Sylhet highway. Vientiane-Vang Vieng Expressway, also referred to as the Lao-China Expressway, stretches between Laos' capital, Vientiane, and the town of Vang Vieng. Interestingly, it's the only operational toll road in Laos as of now. Tolls collected here likely play a role in financing the maintenance and future development of the expressway system. How to pay toll in Laos? (at Lao-China expressway)

• ETC - Electronic Toll Collection system is available as a way to automatically collect toll fees and speed up transit through toll gates. Users need to deposit funds in advance and (probably) install a transmitting device onto their vehicle so they can use the system without paying cash at the toll gates. We see an ETC building located at the Vientiane Expressway entrance toll gate where we assume people can enroll in the ETC system.
